Victor was an amazing host -- he replied to my emails and questions very promptly, and even contacted me when I accidentally left behind my glasses and sunglasses in my room after checkout. The room was clean and perfect for a quick layover as we made our way to Cusco to hike the Inca trail.

Nothing
It was scary -- so scary that I piled the furniture against the door (which did not have an adequate lock) before going to sleep. I travel about 4 months of the year and I have only done this twice in my life. But this hotel warranted it. And the facilities were a wreck -- window did not close; curtains did not close; no hot water, no blankets on the bed; people shouting in the corridors past 1 am and again at 6 am. Plus, although it would seem to be a budget hotel, the exorbitant rates for airport transport made the price TRIPLE what the room rate would seem to be. (I needed an airport hotel for a quick overnight. I arrived at the airport after midnight and needed to catch an early morning flight, so it seemed prudent to rely on the hotel transport.)

Very difficult location, Unfriendly neighborhood, Price increased when we arrived, Terrible room with no hot water and smelly environment, Irresponsible attendant who did not set the right time with the taxi driver and we end up loosing our flight.(We were charged for the taxi service when we arrived). If you are looking for a good and dependable hotel, look some place else!!!

The hostel and room was very simple but good value for money. We stayed a night to catch connecting flights. Hotel staff organised for us a taxi from and to the airport. Do not expect anything fancy but if you there for a short period of time or you are a budged traveler it's just OK.
The only downside is the poor soundproofing.

Free wifi.. But that's it!
I was here for 1 night waiting for a connection but wish I hadn't! I took a private room, was small and didn't smell good! Bed had plastic feeling sheets and were very uncomfortable, you will sweat in them a lot!.. Aircon didn't work but the worst thing of all.. You won't sleep here cause the noise from outside is horrendous!!!! The windows in the rooms are paper thin and don't close properly so every noise can be heard from the road outside which will include.. 11am - 3am a bar across the road and cars revving their engines, 3am - 5am people leaving the area to go home and dogs barking non stop, 5am - 7am a cockrel doing what they do best keeping you up even if your a deep sleeper or not! So book this place if u want to stay close to airport but NOT if your planning on sleeping!

I only needed a bed for the night as I was traveling through Lima to get to Cusco. They were there to coordinate my pick up on time and hotel staff were extremely kind. Never left room as I only needed to be near airport which it was...very convenient
Nothing to see or do nearby yet this was fine as I was just passing through

Raul is a really great host. He picked us up from the airport, was interested in talking to us and even would walk us to things like the internet cafe and to get a taxi for pizza. He went out of his way to be helpful. For the price of the hostal, what you get is really way beyond what you would expect.

I need it to be near airport ,but it was not. They will send a taxi for you and pick you up for 13$
The price of hotel +transportation is comparable to having a good hotel near airport

Not much. It was a short stop-over in Lima heading to Cusco, but the hostel was hard to find and the guy came out to meet us. The hostel was old and looked dirty, the room was very small and the bathroom shower was filthy. Bed was hard and not at all comfortable.
The room was small and bathroom needed a thorough cleaning.

Good for overnight stay if you are in transit. Hostel family were so nice, very welcoming and helpful.
Our room was on the first floor overlooking the road and it was really noisy at night with cars and ppl coming and going.

The staff at Hostal Las Fresas made my stay wonderful. I was traveling alone but I did not feel alone there. When I arrived the staff came outside to meet me and help me with my things. They helped me find the cheapest and most delicious food options. I even had my meal with a couple of the staff members. This is a great place to stay to meet local people, practice Spanish and learn about Peru from them. Plus it is near the airport. They also speak English and are very punctual to respond to e-mails.
